i thought it would smell bad but it didnt
although I was abit self concious when the person standing infront of me in the queue started to back away.

Had a second orientation at the vet campus yesterday
guess what I got for my groupings?
I dare you to say the second phrase out loud.
if you were wondering what 'drought-master' is, its a breed of cattle
the orientation lasted for 3 days but i skipped out after the 1st
my timetable this year is seriously crazy!
9-5 everyday with 1 hour lunch break.
there's only one class too
so where you sit in the lecture theatre on the first day will be where you sit for the rest of the semester

how exciting!!

not to mention driving, activate and cell leading

Rachel Mcadams is sooooo preeeteee. I loved her in the notebook and now i love her in the TTW too. she acts in all the really romantic films..
New Moon was a surprise cause it was better than Twilight, the first movie
i realized im more of Jacob's fan in the movie hehe
Austraila was one of the countries to show New moon first so me and joy were one of the first to watch it before the world did :D
and sadly, singapore is showing it really late this time
oh wells, i might watch it again when i go back

My back hurts so much even on a flat floor

Someone's phone rang 9 times today during my bio lecture
can u believe it?
either someone lost his phone or someone was doing a prank
and the lecturer didnt even hear it
at first we laughed but after about 6 times we were all irritated
the ringtone wasnt even nice, it was more of an alarm clock ringing

oo in physics lecture today i got a shock when the new physics lecturer came in
he looked exactly like sheldon from bigbang theory!!
they are both theoretical physicists as well
and my physics tutor looks like a mix between sheldon and leonard
do all physicists look alike??

I realized i haven't blog since school started!!
and its already week 3
work is piling up and i have a physics test coming up too

few days before i went out to dinner with some of my seniors in their 1st year of vet and with other pre-vets too
everyone is telling us to enjoy this year of freedom and slacking cause we wont have any more of this next year
this year only need to pass, next year you are aiming to pass!!
that scared the hell out of me
so should I work hard this sem or slack behind LOL
its my last semester before having NO LIFE in uni
then again i have to do well enough to pass
seems like an easy thing but ive heard that 1/3 of the people last year failed the chemistry subject im taking now
what an impact words can have on you right!
and i have yet to come to a conclusion

School has started for me
but my bio clock hasnt seem to adjust to that fact
i still cant sleep until late -.-
the good thing is my earliest class is only at 9 and for 2 days
the rest start at 10 so i can afford to sleep in a little more

first day of school was a drag and i think its going to be like this for the whole week
no tuts or pracs yet till next week i have so much free time!!
the lecturers seem fine so far except for calculus
his accent is so weird, i have really listen properly if i am to catch what he is saying
and it doesnt help that my lectures are at 4pm on mon and fri
the worst time ever to pay attention

last saturday i went to watch a concert by Melbourne Symphony Orchaestra!
called "lighting the darkness"
very nice but i sat on the first floor which is not elevated
so i could only see the strings
i kept searching around to see the brass haha
the horns were superb!! hear them blasting away

please let my exams finish in the first week(exam period)!!!

im really praying for that

yes school just started and im already thinking of exams

this is all because i want to get it done and over with and return to singapore!!

Harry Potter and the half blood prince is the most expensive movie i watched so far
$15.50 thats almost daylight robbery!! but it was extreme screen though
an unlucky thing happened too
when we bought our tickets, we forget to check whether the person gave us the correct timings
who would check actually right? we just shove the tickets in our wallets and walk away
see thats the thing! we wanted to see the 2pm show and the person gave us a 10am show instead when we bought it at 12 plus.
we happily went to our seats at 2pm and someone said that we were seating at their seats
so we unhappily went out and realized the wrong ticket
and the ticket was already torn!!!
went to complain of course, thankfully they believed us and changed the tickets to another time
once something like this happens you will always be paranoid
now there will always be a little reminder inside me to check my tickets before leaving the counter -.-

ok its not really a full marathon since we only watched 1,2 and 5
cause there was simply no time unless we stayed over
oh well so now ive watched all the movies AT LEAST twice

oh and i fed 4 possums today!

omgosh they are super duper cute!!!!
i stood like 1m from the tree and they came down themselves knowing there was food in store for them

i also got back my first ever uni results
they were sufficient, more than in fact
but i know i must not be complacent

and i passed my learner's permit test
which is the driving theory part
so i can start learning to drive
woohoo though i have to clock 120hrs before i can sit for the test
thats like driving for 5 days straight
if i do 1hr per day, i need 120 days!!

tomorrow need to chiong to compete with other people for the timetable slots
i hope im fast enough haha
it seems like i have to go to school for 5 days a week next sem unlike last sem i only need to go for 4 days
that sucks all because of my calculus lecture
and yes im planning to take calculus for my elective, or rather already planned
unless there's another sub which is even more slack than math
thank god this year is the only where i have to plan my own timetable and choose my electives
next year everything is already planned out for me!

my parents have gone back :(
the house suddenly feels empty
5 more months seem so far away

anyhoo
the week with them was well spent
i ate soo much i swear my stomach was going to burst
need to diet and exercise every single day now haha
we ate all kinds of food
on the day where my dad turns 55 we rented a car and went for a drive
a trip to yarra valley which is world famous for their vineyards
i had my first wine tasting :D
tasted like 15+ wines?
and we bought a few bottles at each stop tasting the homemade wine
at night we went to this meat and wine co. restaurant to celebrate me and my dad's birthday
my bro knew one of the people there so he planned a special for my dad

rainbow arc. cool eh?

here's the so called cake haha. 5 different kinds of dessert the chef specially prepared

view of the vineyard. its winter so there are no fruits to harvest

oh and we ate at this little house at the countryside

it was sooooo good. they grew their own veg and went to pluck from their garden before cooking

one of the wine tasting places

church service went well too

now ive gotta study for my driving theory test

there are so many things to learn!!

im so happy that we waited till 9.30pm to watch so we could see the Xtreme Screen for the same price. its bigger and better and we had fantastic seats. Wee~

i anticipate all the good food im going to eat for the next week
ive been craving for dim sum...

this post may make no sense to you but its true. it did happen

I just spent my saturday afternoon cleaning up puke left on the carpet by an unknown stranger
yes 'puke'. and it is worse than cleaning my own dog's poop. and carpet stains are so hard to remove. puke is the worst. you dont ever want to try it
she apparantly was brought home by my brother at 6am in the morning
they woke me up with all the bangings on the wall
they were totally drunk like really drunk DRUNK
i could smell a wave of alcohol when i opened the door to see what was going on
and i saw this girl lying on the floor next to her own vomit
the first thought came into my mind. 'disgusting'
and of course in this situation you would want to know what was going on right
but my bro just shut me up and asked me to go back to sleep saying im in enough trouble already
coming home with a drunk girl. what was he thinking!? maybe he wants to be a hero or something. saving a demsel in distress. i peeked into his room later and she looked like some prostitute with heavy makeup all those. maybe prostitute is a little harsh but u get the idea. i dont even recognise her from his group of friends. oh and she's chinese. my bro still doesnt want to tell me anything. just saying she's a friend's friend. is that even believable? how a can a guy just bring home a drunk woman home all alone. it must have been some crazy party on a friday night. how many shots did they take..
again what the hell is he thinking!
the girl woke up later and left. she didnt even remember anything
okay im typing all these rants because i'll go mad if i keep all that in
i keep covering up for him to my parents i mean
even if im concern or just angry i cant tell my mum cause he will scold me the next day and ask me to butt out of his business
having crazy girlfriends and bringing home one night stands
ive had enough
am i suppose to lie to my parents? i cant do that
i know he's my brother and all and i should care for him
but this is really testing my patience
not to mention playing games in the middle of the night and keeping me from my sleep

YAY i survived my first semester of uni
exams are over for now
only half a year more to go!!

im extremely tired now but im still debating whether to sleep or to stay awake
i couldnt sleep at all last night, was half asleep/half awake the whole time
dont know why.. was it because i was too excited that it was my last paper?
waited till my alarm rang
so i carried myself outta bed and to the exam hall
i started out pretty fast and by the time i was up to my last 2 essay questions i started slowing down and writing word for word. i finished kinda early but was too lazy to lift my butt out of the chair haha so i stayed and stoned every few minutes
i think this was my best exam overall
oh well

went to have a hearty lunch and shopping at DFO later
bought new flats!
ate san churros next
played cards and monopoly
watched prince caspian
girltalk till late

wow my long sentences became short phrases
my brain must be starting to shut down
i shall go to bed now

I finally watched my long awaited NIGHT at the MUSEUM!~
cant remember when was the last time i stepped into the cinema
i had a great laugh
next one will be TRANSFORMERS!!

oh and we went to play wii and playstation at the state library
can u believe it?! the library actually has a room devoted to FREE entertainment
we could sit there all day playing if no one interupts us
played a grand prix game first but got bored driving round and round and didnt even know where we were heading lol
next was some monsters vs alien thing but got boring too
ahh but the last one was the most exciting
naruto themed fighting game like those street fighter style
hehe so fun now i really want my guitar hero to keep me company during my long winter days
by next week everyone will be going back home while im staying here
i need to think of something to do quickly!

Phew 3 days of consecutive science papers are over!
now i have 10 days to study for my Food paper
how great is that?
and the best part is i can bring in 1 A4 sheet of notes

if u were wondering how university exams are like here goes..
on the first day, looked outside my window when i woke up and i saw rain
i think it was around 10 degrees at that time, its winter now btw
u wouldnt want to step out of the house at all but i had to
so upon reaching the exam hall we still couldnt go in even in the pouring rain
had to queue up to stash our bags in this tiny container
i dreaded not wearing enough layers cause even before the exam started my hands were frozen and feet were numb! how was i going to write down my answers
and u would think that the exam hall was nice and warm but the heaters were so high up
dont they know that warm air rises and cold air sinks?!
the heat didnt even reach us
with the rain and the cold all of us were shivering and trying hard to shade in our MCQ sheets
the bio paper wasnt so bad
after we finished and steped outside my whole body was shivering and teeth chattering

it was such a bad day
physics was freaking hard!
half the time i didnt know what i was doing and simply wrote down my answers
i never saw some of the questions before
was so demoralized after the paper
i wasnt alone, everyone thought so too
dont even know if i can pass this and if i dont i wont be able to go into vet year!!!!
i cant take the make up exams as well cause apparantly i have to pass on first attempt
this sucks
chemistry was harder than i thought it would be
it really sucks
so that was how my exams went

please please please just let me pass :(

its the Queen's Birthday today, one of the FEW public holidays i have and im so 'lucky' to have it during my exam period which i dont even have to go to school
why is uni life so tough!?
ive been wondering
i only take 4 subjects per semester this year
last year i took 6
and during o levels i took 8
so shouldnt i be happier that i have less subjects to take
but NO it only gave me a reason to be more slack and start freaking out when exams are around the corner
note to self: be more hardworking next semester!!!

Woohoo its my final week of the first semester
how can time past so quickly?

oh and i finally finished my essay!
now im so well informed of the worldwide obesity epidemic

after next week i'll have one study week which is named SWOT VAC

this month it seems like ive been celebrating tons of birthdays!!

and i found out that i have a liking for cheesecakes

hard to explain but its different from the traditional sponge cakes and cream which i always avoid
all i know its delicious~

and my friend just told me that she and her friends got prank calls during the weekend all at the same place past midnight. it was the same caller too
is it really a coincidence?

Wow this week has been super busy!
3 pracs in a week plus a forum
crap and exams start in a month's time
i seriously need to start revising :(

school has been pretty much the same
besides the exception of dissecting a mouse during bio prac!!
ive been looking forward to this from the start
pity the mice though cause they were bred to die with their bodies being cut open by us
poor things. I kept telling my mice 'im sorry but i have to cut u open and examine ur organs" repeatedly the whole time. People might be against it but i think its still cool. U dont get this chance all the time right? Actually i might Lol. Next year i'll have even more animals to dissect!
the funny thing was before we even did anything, one guy fainted with a loud THUD. All the teachers rushed to his side. either he was really scared or he didnt eat anything for the last 24hrs.

this one is really interesting. Cause the person who sat infront of me got a pregnant mouse! she was wondering why hers was so fat. well she was carrying eight babies. if u look closely, u can see the face and eyes of the unborn babies. but its sad isnt it, killing 9 lives instead of just 1.

2 more days and its back to school boo hoo~
this holiday is too short too short!
im waiting for my winter holidays to come now (one month of lazying around)

you all know i went for easter camp right
it lasted for 4 days and i enjoyed it lots
got to meet fellow people in church i never knew
at first i thought we would be staying near the beach or something cause the venue was great OCEAN road but it was totally different
we stopped at a camp site called kangaroobie (how cute~)
it was in the countryside with hilltops, beautiful sunrise and sunsets and cows grazing away
nice place to escape the rush of the city life
we were split into groups and were given weird but funny names
mine was cockroach pus on your slippers
a hilarious one was PFFFT! lol the sound of someone farting
had games and sermons and spiritual and fun workshops
i learned how to make onigiri! jap rice balls
oh i really loved the catered food super yummy
on easter sunday everyone exchanged chocolate eggs as well
did some hiking as well. the sand made it really hard to walk in but the beach was worth it
it was like some spot of island they used in 'survival' reality show
played station games including our version of dota
waterbombing other groups territory and stealing items and crawling on the sand
i dont know how similar it is to the real dota hmm
on the last night we stayed playing card games or group games like mafia, murderer and bridge
until 6am k! only then we decided to sleep and woke up at 9am again to eat breakfast
so on monday i was really a zombie
on the way back to the city we made a quick stop at the real great ocean road with the 12 apostles thought i only spotted 6 remaining
the rocks werent that fascinating. nice to look at YES but at least i get to say ive been there
reached home and went to bed for how many hours i cant remember

wow im actually blogging at 1am in the morning!
i had a long day today but it was awesome~
morning had classes but the fun only starts after that hehe
there was this pyjama party exclusively for pre-vets and vet science students
so me and my vet buddies went to take a look and maybe to mingle with some of our seniors
we ate BBQ sausages and when i went to get a drink, guess what! I didnt know that the fruit punch had alcohol in it. I had my first mouthful and oh crap! Aussies really LOVE to drink. but i already took the cup anyway so i just drank lol. it wasnt that strong either so yeah this stays between u and me k! im still 17...

we talked to some people and lecturers. the teachers are cool man! coming to this kind of function. maybe cause the faculty is so small and its easier to interact with one another
people kept telling us that we only need to PASS this year and get into the next! no need to be so stressed out and we should enjoy ourselves. i think its true, this year is my last chance to slack haha. then this senior came along. she was drunk btw. she said some crazy stuff but it was fun talking to her. there were 5 of us. i was holding the cocktail and my friend was holding a beer while the rest didnt. so she said, u 2 with alcohol pass but barely cause u didnt have ur PJs on and the 3 of u failed cause no alcohol or PJs! u cant get through to 2nd year without alcohol man! then she realized we were pre-vets and she exclaimed OMG u all definitely pass haha. none of the pre-vets came to their functions and we were the first to. talk talk talk and she left before she said more drunked stuff

we left after an hour? and went over to the main campus to check out the night market. bascially its just rows of food stalls but we ate before coming so we didnt buy anything. more walking and talking to people we pass by. and u think the fun ends there?

bought chips and tim tams dark chocolate yummy~
bbq + alcohol already, why not just indulge tonight was what we thought. right before our mid semester tests next week too!

although i feel abit guilty eating those junk foods, less food tmr then and have to mug

I faithfully did my part for EARTH HOUR!

technically i wasnt at home during that time but all the lights were still off
just found out that it first started in australia too

no chem pracs till after my easter holidays oh yes!!
i had 3 consecutive weeks of chem pracs making crystals and more crystals
this week phy prac wasnt so bad either
managed our time well and my group was the first to finish!
u know those guns that measure the speeds of cars?
we stood on a bridge and pointed it at on coming cars to find out how fast they were travelling
it was quite funny. i wonder how the drivers felt like having 20 ppl looking and pointing radar guns at u. we were like traffic police! maybe they even slowed down lol

oh and the physics test sucked btw
kinda freaked out awhile. my heart raced when the lecturer said start
it calmed down a little but i didnt watch the time and at the last min i found out i did the question wrongly! :( so im screwed
my tutor is going to vomit blood when he sees our papers
but i cant help it.. first test on paper in uni
and they purposely printed out 6 different test papers to minimise the chances of us cheating
so cant copy from the person beside u.. not that i wanted :P
this is only the beginning..
2 more tests coming up in a week's time
i cant believe 4 weeks are already gone
everything in uni is accelerated.. the content that i learnt last year is the same as learning it in 12 weeks this year!! no time for slacking and i see people in the libraries all the time
now i wish i was back in secondary school

I think Ive gotten quite used to uni life
for one ive remembered my timetable!
So far the people i met are nice to me though some have a hint of dislike for Asians
Like in my Bio Tut groups have been formed and they stick to it every week! I just sit anywhere actually as long as there is space
The classes only last 55 mins and everyone rushes to the next so there isnt much time to bond with classmates either except during practicals
usually i hang out with my college friends
we just watched confessions of a shopaholic though i said i will watch it last week cause the cinema only showed it on Xtreme screen last time.
Such a great show and we only spent $8 on it which is a very BIG bargain. Normal prices are almost twice the price

Physics is killing me man
having a test next fri! :( counts for 5% of my overall
and i have no confidence about it
it is so much more complex than sec sch physics and they still call it fundamentals!
even dentistry or physio doesnt require phy, why does vet sci need it??

my first assignment due is a 500 word report on Biofuels WOO thats for my food for a healthy planet. they invited this speaker from Queensland who is a German to talk to us and apparantly they found a plant which can help save the Earth!
Oh ya and please support Earth Hour kay! its next sat. Switch off your lights for an hour

Im changing my daily routine as well. No more taking tram back and forth and being lazy haha. Im only taking tram to school and walking back home later. Saving money + excercising!! Since i only need to go to school for 4 days a week

today is the first time i had a full day on wednesdays
and it is NOT something to look forward too
8am-8pm
with only 2 breaks in between for breakfast and dinner
i hope i can handle it for weeks to come :/

here's how my physics prac went...
i couldnt think properly throughout the prac
my partners and i were doing it quite slowly
and then the demonstrator said we needed to set up an experiment and a report writing
which we only had 1.5hrs left if im not wrong and we havent even finish the work we had to do
so we rushed through and skipped steps
the demonstrater didnt help by saying "u have 35/10/5mins left or u better come to a conclusion in 2 mins" he looked quite fierce too :(
argh i was sooo stressed, so much to write in so little time
and i wanted to go home to watch my "House" haha
i think i wrote in really simple english and my handwriting was all squiggly
we actually stayed in the lab for 3hrs playing with paddles and motion sensors

im dead tired but luckily i have a free day tmr
and im going to REST and watch confessions of a shopaholic!

and i must say school tires me out
better get used to waking up early now

Oh and i think the music audition didnt go well cause he never called me back!
so im going back to my original plan for elective

during physics too we were talking about free fall stuff and someone said

i dont know why Chemistry is always the subject that gives me the most trouble
luckily my timetable problem is solved. Thank God!

they teach more new things than bio/phy
i always find it the most challenging to learn

honestly im not as excited
i think its cause this year im learning nothing about being a vet!
i wish i could fast forward this year and go to the next
but yeah i get to meet many new people and thats a good thing

oh and i joined this AA club in uni which stands for Australasian Association
lots of discounts! especially in the uni bookshop
apparantly its suppose to help bring people together and organise events for you like a trip to the movies or something
the other clubs didnt stand out as much

it was a whole series of love stories about couples
a whole cast of famous actors and actresses too
i love the part when the guy proposed to Jennifer Aniston
the theatre was full of awwss and some even clapped
filled with funny situations as well
and many interesting insights about how guys date girls hoho
never have high expectations when a guy says he'll call u back cause it may be a way of ditching you. haha. but i hope not all guys are like that
and i wanna be the exception to the rule!

Feeling so undecided!
i dont know what subject to take for elective
food science and math requires alot of time commitment plus the 3 sciences
my timetable just sucks
i only have 10 mins each slot to get from one end of the uni to the other!
and i think i have to eat during lectures as well cause they are all one after the other

So i went to talk to the person in charge at the Faculty of music to see if i can take symphonic wind ensemble as my elective which is very much like band!
it only requires 2hrs a week too
BUT i have to go for audition
thats kinda hard since i havent played for a year
and i only have 1 1/2 days to practise! lol
just went to the music store and bought myself a Scales for Saxophone book

mum's going back tomorrow :(

Oh no.. im starting to miss singapore just after a few days!
since the day i came back i never had a chance to enjoy
Mostly ive done alot of cleaning, grocery shopping, going to school and enrolling in uni stuff
the weather is really nice btw. cooler than singapore. love it!

Yesterday went to sch for this international students briefing
met all the pre-vet people which is what I am doing this year
PRE-VET means im not in vet yet.. I have to do the basics first :(
went to many info sessions to see which elective to take
BIO, CHEM, PHY are my core subs. argh triple science again!
and ive decided to take math as an elec cause i think its easier to score and there are no essays to write!
Gosh, im going to be a geek this year. science+math
the worse thing is i have 3 lectures for each sub and 3 pracs to do (which are 3 hrs long for one) and 4 tuts to attend
my timetable will be super packed
i absolutely have no time for myself except on weekends
can i manage?

Good news is I dont have to worry about getting my way around
and i already have people that i know!
everywhere i walked, i saw my trinity friends and we met like we haven seen each other in ages
haha it was a nice feeling catching up with them

my mum came over with me but she's leaving next wed
then total freedom! lol
she told me she's not coming over anymore this year until i go home in dec
thats really being on my own

now im glad i came over last year

Im super excited this year cause i missed CNY last year. So it feels really good going back to the routine
Had my reunion dinner at 'No Signboard' restaurant in Esplanade
I must say I enjoyed their pepper crab alot. The whole meal was full of seafood which made my tummy really happy!
One of my cousin is an anti-seafood person so this means ... me and my bro get to have his share!
I think im going to eat alot this CNY. But who cares~ I will gone in less than a month's time so I must eat while i can. maybe this is just my excuse for me to eat more lol

Ive decided to blog today!
so here goes:

yesterday;
had a funny encounter with a person at the PETSHOP while I was looking through the shelves
the Guy: Hi
Me: Hello
G: Do u have a dog?
Me: Yeah... If not why would I be buying dog food? {like DUH~}
G: Oh ya, what a stupid question
Me: Nods
G: anyway have a nice day!
Me: Okay
After he left, I burst into laughter!
Either he was really dumb or faking it

today;
woke up real early to meet melissa at chinatown for one sole purpose
which is to buy BAK KWA, the lim chee guan one!
the shop only opened at 930
we reached the place at 9am after having breakfast
and guess what!
there were at least 200 or more people already in line
OMG, i was actually saying it out loud
so we had no choice but to go all the way to the back and start our wait
it clearly displays the typical singaporean act of being KIASU
...
6 SIX, the number of hours we had to wait before our turn
this is the longest i had to queue for food..
and nearing to the shop this auntie approached us
'Miss, can help me buy mah? I give you money. Im not free to buy on other days'
and our answer was a big No no. I mean you cant just cut in like that people had to wait hours for it and you think I will let you get away with it that easily! dream on man.. Not fair to the people behind us either.
She carried on begging other people
Finally at 10 mins to 3, we finally got our bak kwa. I bought 2.5kg which is not light..
our legs were tired by then, now we had to tire our hands too
ate lunch and took a bus ride home
no energy to do anymore walking..
but i think it was worth it since it tastes good [tried a piece when i got home] and kinda fun in a way :D

I cant believe how fast the year has gone by
one moment i was collecting my o level results
the next going to melbourne for college
and now back in singapore to bring in the new year
what will be in store for me this year?

Last night I did the countdown at my parents club
it was quite boring at times cause i didnt seat next to my parents [they were at the vips]
and my table was filled with uncles and aunties who were half drunk by the time i got there -.-
so i sat quietly eating my food
that was until my mum pulled me to the dance floor and
who can resist not moving with the music?
it continued till 10 sec to 2009!

Hmm besides that i think 2009 hasnt quite kicked in yet
i bet if u ask me to write the date down i'll still fill in 2008!

Let me tell u about the craziest thing that happened to me yesterday
we had a SAXIES outing and we decided to go to sentosa's beach
the day started off really well..
it was a first for a few of us taking a monorail from vivo to sentosa
after walking awhile we put our stuff under this big tent
we played frisbee~
then it was water play haha
melissa forced everyone to go inside the sea by pushing us *glares*
but it was fun and olga and char got swimming lessons too!
about an hour later we got out and went to shower
and when we came back.. guess what? one of our bags was missing
it was mine!!
apparantly someone stole it
so we hurried to find it and tried to call my phone but was rejected a few times
went to tell the lifeguard [a cutie named Nigel lol]
and the rangers came to our rescue!
thankfully, a guy [who was the one who found my bag] picked up my phone and said he scared off the theif acting all suspicious.
so we got a free ride back to vivo to meet the good guy
phew.. i got back my bag all in one piece.
how many people lose their stuff and get it back in good condition?
im one of them. haha
this is a lesson learnt. never leave ur bags unguarded!!
and there are actually nice people around :)
afterwards took some pictures together and ate at foodrepublic

now im kinda paranoid.. clinging to my bag all the time haha
i hope this never ever happens again to me and to anyone else

finally returning to the place i call home
i can't wait!!
in less than 24 hours from now i'll be back!

so anyway this year has been a life changing year i must say

but i know i really wont be enjoying myself fully until i see my results

As you can see i haven't been updating much and this is because of my hectic TERM4
i have to constantly rush to finish my assignments so i really have no time :(
and of course i need to study as well!
so this shall be the last post until after my FINALS which is coming up in 3 weeks! (or if I feel like it :D )
my final results will then determine whether i get into university or not. see how important it is!!
therefore i need to put all my focus on it..

Im back from Gold Coast and sadly back to school too..
had my first 2 classes today :(
only 5 weeks of term4 till the exams OMG

About my holiday,
im gonna be brief cause the pics will give a better explanation. i'll upload them soon!
GOLD COAST was super fun
we stayed at a serviced apartment in surfer's paradise and we had a perfect view of the beach
on the 1st day we spent our day in the city and went to all the surfer shops. They had tons of Roxy, billabong, quiksilver ... you know the rest. GC has the best shops for these kinda things.
2nd day, DREAMWORLD. i still remember the first attraction we went too and the scariest as well. The Mummy exhibit. it was a walk through maze and we had to hold on to the person infront of you. then things will start popping out of the walls to scare u. and real people too. in a dark place who knows what will happen!! it gave me chills after that :S
3rd day, SEA WORLD. watched the dolphin, sealion show and the water ski performance. so cool! and of course the marine animals were too cute~
4th day, WHITEWATER WORLD. get ready to splash! this was the most enjoyable i think. the whole year we have been hiding from the sun. now we could finally wear less and tan ourselves! love the weather there. melbourne is still very cold :( Water rides are the best. take me to wild wild wet in sg too!
5th day, MOVIE WORLD. all the warner bros characters were there. and my bro nicknamed robin now kept wanting to see his oh so wonderful batman. LOL. his biggest fan i must say but too bad he couldnt take a pic with him. in the end 'robin' took a pic with the real robin :D If anyone goes there must remember to take the scooby-doo spooky coaster k! it's the best there. though the wait was over an hour it was worth it!
6th day, rest day. yeah right! went shopping through the shops again and bought many new clothes! went to the beach too. the sand was so smooth and the ocean was so clear. i wanna go back again~
7th day, time to check out and say bye-bye to GC. Boo hoo~ our flight was delayed by 1 hour so we played bridge at the airport to kill the time. hehe. reached melbourne at 1am plus?

last saturday, went for SINGAPORE DAY
i got to eat some local food but it was not enough to feel my cravings!
15000 people, queue like mad lo.
PCK came to too and gave us a big laugh
the most exciting part was the freebies they gave. we took so many goodie bags and had to carry them all the way home. but cant blame us right. singaporeans are kiasu ppl :D

Just came back from a sleepover last night!
we had a movie marathon to see how many movies we could watch. hehe

last sunday;
me, my mum, joy and her mum, liz and elaine all took a train ride to lilydale!
the name of the place sounds like some flowery area and its exactly why we went there
off to the TULIP FESTIVAL~
its spring now and the tulips are blossoming so we went to see them!

Man.. ive been so lazy to update
oh well, here i am

Exams are over and the holidays are here!!
since i only had 1 exam it passed really quickly and ive got a good feeling about it. [hopefully] hehe
just one more term to go!! Woohoo~
though its the most stressful of all
only 5 weeks of school and its the final exams!!
which will determine my future.
Omgosh.. how am i going to do this
i just sent in my university application yesterday
now i have to wait in suspense for it to go through successfully
Please?!

at least there's something to cheer me up
im going to GOLD COAST next week to spend my holidays!
soooo EXCITING~
i'll be going with my mum&bro, joy and her mum
gonna stay at 'surfers paradise'
its been ages since i went to a theme park and now i get to go to 5 worlds!
dream world, movie world, sea world, wet&wild and white water
and lots of shopping of course
can't wait to have fun over there

And its spring people!
now i can finally wear my T-shirts and shorts
no more heavy coats and winter wear :D
i cant believe im actually looking forward to warm weather haha

Im now off to go collect my long-awaited book BRISINGR

Its exactly 3 months before i return to singapore!! :)
just the thought of it brings me much joy
also, i have exactly one week to complete my literature essay ARGH
this week is my last week of school which i presume will pass quickly so that i can be nearer to the day of exams..

drama exam;
it was really nerve-wrecking k! 70 people squeezing into the drama room and all eyes on you. they occupied almost half the room. so that means that we are VERY near the audience. though they laughed at the most intense scene we were still able to do it quite well :) It was fun to do it the last time after much preparation. Next up, anybody can come in to watch your performance. that's the worse..

yesterday we were discussing about what to do during the holidays and we planned to do tons of things.
going on a few days trip on those overnight train to nowhere. hehe
go to an open-range zoo and observe animals!
SHOPPING is a must
horseback riding
watch movies
jamming session
maybe travel to other states?
the planning is still in progress but its really something to look forward to!

Another new month is here
this also means that my holidays are near! Yippie
but before that i have to complete one more assignment and one exam
As I said before this term is mostly assignment term so my only exam is :
MATHS 17.09.08 - 2hr
and then i'll be in holiday mood :)

i just had my chemistry presentation which was not so bad actually though i think i rushed through my speech. its a natural reaction to speak fast right?
okay.. next up will be my drama exam! oh my gosh. we gotta perform infront for strangers! Scary man, i hope i dont mess up my lines and act properly. Lol. If all goes well i'll see whether i can get some photos or videos of it. hehe.

Argh. Ive been so lazy to update nowadays..
i shall do it now before i get into a 'twilight' craze hehe
I finished the first book in less than 2 days!! so im going to move on the the 2nd book now 'NEW MOON'. Too bad its sold out in borders :( i bought the 4th book instead cause its on offer but now im so tempted to read the ending.. OH and 'Brisingr' is going to be out in a month's time!!!
ive found back my love for reading :)

My dad and Bro have gone back to Sg so now its just me and my mum. We did alot of eating last week when both my parents were here. I hardly have enough time to spend with them cause of school. I constantly remind myself i have a few more months to go before returning and the hardest part hasn't even arrived yet.. I need&must&have to get into vet science if not all the effort(not just mine) would go down the drain. Sigh. After visiting the open day at MU, all the more i want to get in. There's so much lying ahead of me and waiting to get my hands on all the animals i get to see during the training haha.

HOI is finished at last though the rest of the assignments are not half way through yet. Boohoo~
so i better get back to doing it!

we got to go to the Melb Uni genetics lab to do prac. this is inside the lab

we had to put them to sleep first using carbon dioxide and the lab actually had a tap for that like the one for the bunsen burner. after analysing them we had to throw them into this jar called 'fly morgue' to kill them. in total me and joy killed 27 flies.. poor things..

HAPPY NATIONAL DAY :D
yesterday all the singaporeans at trinity wore red t-shirts!
we had to wear on friday cause on sat there's no school so no one would see us haha

(im typing this with the laptop on my lap infront of the tv hehe)
After school TTYL went to joy's place to watch the OLYMPICS opening together
it was super AWESOME man. we had a spectacular view from the tv. Wow-in all thoughout. The parade of nations was a long wait though. We waited for over 2 hours to see a 10sec footage of singapore at the stadium. We were almost dying. 204 countries in total participating and singapore was 5th last -.-
Australia is gonna show the whole games live so for the next 2 weeks i'll be busy watching :D

Its the start of a new and 'exciting' month!
And i have tons of things to do~

Firstly, got our drama groupings today. we are suppose to do a skit for our Term3 drama exam. Im in Group 3! together with Joleen, Henry, Joyner and Yang chen (i think lol). What a nice group :) So we had a trigger list and tried to brainstorm ideas during class and its between an ILLUSION or 'Dead tress give no shelter'. Had a really nice plot going but the thing is, we have to fit everything under 8 mins which is really short.. I hope we come up with something that no one would ever think about doing. hehe.

Secondly, i need to finish my hoi essay! Nationalism, why are u such a difficult topic? Also, i plan to do my 1500 word essay before the 11th of august. CAUSE my mum and dad are coming over to visit me!!! Yippie! so i will have all the time to spend with them

Thirdly, my saxophone is going to be travelling from singapore to melbourne to be with me. Haha. And im dying to play it. Joy bought an electronic piano so we can play together!! Mama mia, Phantom, Les miserable here i come! Cant wait~

Fourthly, there are 7 days to olympics and 8 days to National Day. Woohoo! Going to watch and cheer together :D

Thats my plan for the month.

Oh no..
its back to school for me :(

ive got back all the results for term 2 and im quite stressed about it
how am i suppose to get an average of 87% for 4 subjects?
this is worse than Os
but if the marks were converted I would get A1 for all. Hehe.
too bad im not in secondary anymore..
I forsee term 3 being another busy term for me
I have 4 assignments to hand in!
HOI + Literature essay, bio + chem project = less time for playing and sleeping
boo hoo~

Tuesdays are movie nights!
I watched Mama Mia this week and next week will be the Dark Knight. Woohoo
now im so into ABBA songs. they have the best oldies
it was full of comedy and the whole theatre burst into laughter practically every 10mins of the show HAHA

today;
went to baillieu library to do research for my HOI essay
Q1. How important is ethnicity and culture to nationalism?
chim right! and the books we found were not that useful just bits and pieces of it
but im glad singapore is a good example to write on. Yay for a multi-cultural city!
I finally found the flats that i wanted too! :)

lately
ive been attracted to supernatural themes..
its strange but i just love things that dont exist in our world
more interesting that way eh?

after reading the book reviews i realized its about vampires
now i sooo wanna read it once it is restocked in borders :)

today;
went out with elizabeth!
we wanted to see the melbourne museum but the queue for tickets was super long!! and it is a waste of time to wait for hours
so we hopped on the tourist shuttle and had a bus ride
went to [the less crowded] National Gallery of Victoria.
its an art museum but its free!
and the art works were an eye opener
definitely worth it. i sound so cheapskate -.-
moving on.. here are some of what u call art~

Oh no.. 1 week of my holiday is gone
ive spent half of each day sleeping
1 quater of the day eating
and the rest is to find things to past the time haha

On friday;
my brother rented a car and we all went sight-seeing in the suburbs. if im not wrong the suburb is Dandenong. The fog was crazy in the morning so we sat at mcdonalds before heading of again. the BEST part of the journey was going to the horse riding centre! hehe. I took a lesson of horseback-riding there. I only learnt the basics like steering the horse and trotting cause there wasnt enough time. but next holiday im definitely going back!

today;
was soo excited that i could finally rent and play the sax but i couldn't. Boohoo~ they didnt allow me cause i didnt have an ID which proves that i live at my place -.- they think i will take the instrument and runaway.. oh well. my mum is considering buying one back in sg and bringing it here when she comes again. Yippie! though she is only willing to buy the standard model and her budget is only $2k. but at least i get to own one!

Going to send my mum off tomorrow. She's going back the sg and eat all the good stuff man.. *envies*

oh.. and sleep too :)

26 June (the last day of exams):
went to watch PRINCE CASPIAN with joy
it was soo sooo nice.
makes me want to read the whole series over again

its also getting colder and colder each day..
i want to stuff myself up with food and hibernate through winter

today was the most heart-racing and nerve-racking day
had my drama exam which i think i spoke to fast. it didnt feel like i ended when i did. i thought i missed some lines..
then it was my EAP presentation. It wasn't that bad. lots of laughter from the audience haha.
but the preparatioin was not easy at all..
so i conclude i need lots of sleep tonight :D

can't wait for the holiday on 9th june. gonna hang out with TTYL :)

what a long time since i last wrote
now to revive my blog..

this week passed really fast and tomorrow i'll be starting to shift my stuff over to the new house.

Yippie! i dont have to wake up so early anymore and minus the travelling time.

ALSO, i passed up my HOI essay today!
what a great feeling it was..
my first 1200 word on history.
BUT one done and another to do
my literature essay questions just came out and its due on the 23 june!!
AND next week i have to prepare for my monologue exam (drama) and EAP presentation(english) to do!
that sucks right..
busy as a bee..

I just realized i dont need to pay attention at HOI classes anymore cause it isnt going to help with my entry to MU anyway. so its movie time! we sneak to the back and watch movies on our ipod hehe.

VK chapter 40 is out! but it wasn't as i expected. Oh well, wait another month for the next.
now i gotta start studying for my exams which is less than a month away. Boo~

Yes, ive finally started on my HOI Essay with 800 more words to go!
gotta finish it before i move house
oh yea, the lease to my apartment is going to end so i need to shift
and the new one is much much nearer to school and its above a shopping mall. right in the city
how convenient is that?
now i just have to stuff all my things in the luggage again..

this week has been quite slack
my bio and lit teacher didnt come so we had free periods
MY MUM IS HERE too!
So i will leave the cooking to her haha. i just wash up.
but now im down with the flu. sniffing+sneezing all the time
i guess its okay since i have someone to take care of me. hehe

tuesday went to watch IRONMAN with my buddies

it was a great show and so glad it has a continuation. I want to see more of it!

I found back my love for piano haha

there's a piano in one of the common rooms for students to play and im going there every few days. should have brought more scores over, had i known!

i have been thinking of getting a saxophone just for leisure

and me and my friends can start a jamming session hehe

miss playing my sax but it could cost alot so im still considering

tommorow: must start my HOI essay!
